So I along with many other “youngsters” never really adopted the twitter trend a while back. And I am still happy with my decision. Twitter will never stand up to the monster that is the Facebook Status Bar.
Twitter is simple, and that is nice, but it simply does not offer anything unique in my opinion. The ability to text in and microblog as you toast some bread and let all of your fanboys know what you are doing is just something that doesn’t interest me in the least. If all of you out there have reasons as to why anyone should still use Twitter please leave some comments about what is so great because I just don’t see it. Twitter will slowly fade away if their keep their current feature set. Facebook could easily with a UI change make the status feed a feature, which is basically all that Twitter has to offer anymore. For those of you that use Twitter as your IM client, I am even further confused as to why you would do that. The term microblog is a dumb term anyway, why do creepers need to know what I am doing ever minute of my life. It will be interesting to watch Twitter fade away into oblivion in the near future if their keep their current model.
